  • Jack Charlton

A World Cup winner with England along with his brother Bobby, the Leeds hard man Jack Charlton has passed away at 85. He led Ireland through an amazing adventure as coach, punching above their weight. Ireland had a couple of notable players, like Liverpool man Ronnie Whelan, but his Ireland team were genuine outsiders who habitually went to major finals and caused upsets. He was a great player, great coach, just a class act and absolute giant of the game.
England 1966 World Cup hero Jack Charlton has died at the age of 85. The defender played for Leeds United with distinction for 21 years and later managed the Republic of Ireland

A Legend that wont ever be forgotten by the Irish people. He put Irish International football on the map. Provided a light in a dark time in Ireland.
