I still think he has something to offer, but the hunger and desire is no longer the same. His biggest problem is his work rate. He doesn't hustle like Mandzukic and that's his problem. If he did that, he'd be getting somewhere, even at 31.

Mitroglou performed a couple of neat dribbles in Galatasaray's 3-2 friendly win over RB Leipzig. He's showing confidence again, which is good, and in the highlights I saw, he could have scored a goal if he had managed to get his header down early in the game.

He's being linked with a loan move to Nantes.

It would be great to see him with Tachtsidis. That would be awesome.

Wait he’s not under contract with Galatasaray for the coming season?

He is under contract still with Galatasaray on loan from Marseille, but they want to offload him.

He has a range of suitors. In the Series A there's Lecce, SPAL and Udinese. In La Liga, Siovas' club Leganes is interested. Then in France there is Nantes. Finally, Olympiakos are said to have an agreement in place with Marseille, but Galatasaray is unwilling to buyout the remainder of Mitroglou's loan contract and they want OSFP to pay it.

                      An even better video:

I have to start watching PSV because that's how football should be played.

He was injured today which is why he couldn't feature in the squad today as his team took on Ajax (the game finished 1-1). Hopefully the big guy is fit again when it's time to play Italy. We definitely need his ability to hold up the ball and finish inside the box.

He played the final 10 minutes in PSV's loss to Utrecht. He came on after his team had suffered two red cards and were trailing a goal down.

About time. He came to the Netherlands playing like Zidane, but he hasn't been playing much. Is he still struggling for fitness?
