AEK and PAOK had voiced their desire to have supporters at the game.

Play the game in a nation that has a real police force and justice system. Play the game in the UK. Stamford Bridge has around 40k capacity. 15k each given to each team. Ask the UK if it is possible.

Gianniotas gone, this one cuts me because we are such a slow team and I don’t like our game atm, I think Gianniotas offered things no one else did and that’s good speed and dribbling on the wing to open space in the middle which Bakasetas doesn’t do, Mantalos is not a winger either. Hope we get some Euro’s out in the summer, we are behind OSFP & PAOK right now

Giannotas baffles me, with him on one side and albanis the other we would have skill and speed which we lack with Mandalos and bakasetas as we all know they’re not wingers.

I am not holding any hope of money being spent this off season. I expect us to be pretty much similar to this season, hopefully Jimenez can inspire the boys because if not I see a repeat of this season.

Word is alef will be signed for $1mill, I don’t mind him even though he wasn’t given a real chance.

Yeah Galo has been a great servant to the club the past 4 years. Great crosser and free kick taker of the ball.

Scored that crucial goal vs Celtic. Never complained from what it seems. Hopefully he is well replaced as tbh I'm not fully convinced by Bakakis. I read Jimenez is looking at playing Klonaridis as a RB?!?!?

Giannotas besides his injury and when fit was not played IMO in order to accommodate Bakasetas and Mantalos seen as Livaja was playing CAM. Same goes for Albanis. If we are going to sign 2 wingers (which is what Jimenez has requested) 2 of the trio (Bakasetas/Mantalos/Livaja) are going to have to be benched as it's pointless playing them out of position as its damaging the team.

Cosic was good at the start but became a kreas as time went on and injury prone. Shame Lambro is gone. Vranjes could be en route back which will help the CB that was like a wall last season.

Regardless if Alef is signed, we still need another CM of top quality and some creativity. Simoes/Kristicic/Galano/Alef are all defensive minded players. This is crucial.

We need Ponce to stay, no two ways about it.


Hult & Lopes is fine on left back.
Bakakis/Singing? - definitely need another RB, a younger Galo would be great.
Chyg/Oiko/Vranjes?/Svarnas - Fine, the injury prone and aging Chyg could be a worry but not a position that needs urgent attention as much as others.
Simoes/Kristic/Gala/Alef/? - Top class attack minded CM needed imo.

Klonaridis/Albanis/Boye?/Giannotas?/Singing/Signing - Looking at Colombian winger Machis who seems like a good dribbler and pacy winger.

Livaja/Mantalos/Bakasetas - Fine here.

Ponce?/Giakoumakis?/Signing? - See what happens with Ponce, either way another striker is needed, or else Livaja can be the 2nd striker and Mantalos & Bakasetas can play behind.


Lot's of questions to be answered and signings to be made. Hopefully we get everything done early in time for pre season.

We are going to have to get signings done early as I think our first Europa qualifier is last week of July and we want the squad settled or close to settled by then.

4-5 new faces will be ideal, but what will they bring in is the main question and will they/are they the players we are needing.

Going by Galo’s interview he wanted to stay but wasn’t given a decent contract, he states when he said no to the first offer the door closed on him for good, our management once again have done another malakia. How can we let players go that want to be at aek? How can you let go of a player who may not be the best in the team but always played with heart and passion? Meli himself said if you don’t want to be here then leave, we have a player who wants to be there but they don’t keep him. Sure he may be getting on age wise, but he does have another 2 good seasons in him.

As for Ponce I think we all expected him to leave with a $6mill price tag next to his name. We have a guy who’s scored the most goals for us since Blanco and yet again management will let him leave. As Dikefale said a few months back, we are getting a good player ready for Roma (if Ponce goes back there and not on loan again)

As I said the other day, I am not holding any hope for next season as I see us being the same way we were this season. A debt free club and we aren’t spending anything. I don’t expect millions to be thrown around but surely $2mill or $5mill for example would get us something decent.
