PAOK down 3-1 at home against Benfica and they don't look threatening enough to score 3 goals just yet.

Looking at the rosters of the big Greek teams in Europe: By my count, AEK had seven Greeks in the starting 11 and four on the bench (11 out of 18 overall).

Against Benfica today, PAOK has three Greeks in the team and one on the bench (four out of 18 overall).

Against Burnley last week, Oly had five Greeks in the lineup and three on the bench (eight out of 18 overall).

I'm glad we recruit and feature Greek players. Makes the team much for fun to root for and I like seeing our guys in the Ethniki.

^^I totally agree with you....going forward after AEKs success, you'll probably see at least 5 to 6 Greek players starting on PAO and Olympiakos in the near future.

^^That said except PAOK....They will always lean on players outside of Greece.

We had a great thread on GS.com about shit players we bought over the years because the scouts were blinded by wherever they were from. Like, Brazilian passport=genius footballer.

Sometimes they work out--like Papa Bouba Diop--but most of the time we would get kreas like Juanfran. :p The days of looking for marquee names should be in the past, and I agree, they should be looking at Greek players.

Well PAOK shit the bed tonight! 1-4 loss in Toumba! Wonder if Savvidis or Lucescu blame for this result

PAOK fans showing what grubs they are by throwing a flare into the Panionios fans stand. They may be banned from having fans for 2 matches, which works in our favour as we play them up north in 2 weeks.

Then these clowns bitch and whinge the world is against them. You do it to yourselves.

Hope the animals get another ban. Very lucky to not concede a penalty in this one too

Watched the Oly-Asteras highlights, and the latter were unlucky not to nick a point out of the encounter. Their front 3 have good chemistry and on another night might have won it for them.

All I can say is we're gonna fuck OLY up again this year.

Some offside calls against Tripoli again very questionable, one of the plays the guy was 3 meters onside.

Marinakis also made his way to the sideline toward the end of the match.

Highlights I saw had OSFP make many chances in the first half. Asteras keeper made huge saves all game
