Could this be the CB that helps us regain the championship?

Semedo could prove a troublemaker given his past problems. But he's worth a shot. I think he's a UCL caliber defender, which is what OSFP probably needed most. And he has big potential resale value.
On a different note, OSFP has started an interesting trend for next season by having signed Podence and now Valbuena. Suddenly, AEK plan on signing a Roma player named Verde via a loan, PAOK are expected to sign former ace Stoch, and PAO are increasingly considering a swoop for Fetfatzidis. All are 5'6" or 5'5", so we're talking diminutive wingers with as low a center of gravity you can probably get away with for a professional level player. All are wingers who like to cut in and score.
I thought it could be part of a broader trend, but established players like Hazard, Salah, and Sterling (to name only a few) as well as promising players like Tekfusa Kubo are between 5'7" to 5'9". I can't think of any players who are as shorter than this playing at the highest levels or tipped to play at those kind of levels, so it's a bit unique to Greece, which suggests the level of play isn't hard enough to prevent players that short (5'5" or 5'6") from succeeding.

Manos back to OFI for a year long loan. Good move:

According to the Turkish sport site Sabah, Olympiacos have asked that Galatasaray pay Marseille 700k euros for Mitroglou and once that happens, OSFP will buy Mitroglou at 2m from Marseille. OSFP have already come to terms with with Marseille for the deal, so now it's a question of whether Galatasaray will pay the 700k. LOL.

I'd prefer Mitroglou over Berg. Before his knee injury and move to Fulham, the guy was scoring a hattie every other weekend. A hattrick against Anderlect in the UCL. Three against Romania over two games. The guy couldn't stop scoring. If he ever returns to that level of confidence, the man would be king of Greece.

Besides Samedo and Sa - this has been an exceptionally poor transfer season.
We lost Hassan - our offer for him was rejected. So we ended up with Guerrero, Soldano, El Arabi and Durmishaj - all of which are not good enough to lead the line - except maybe El Arabi - but he is an unknown quantity.
Valbuena is a very poor signing. He is 35 in a couple of months and looked tired and slow when playing at Fener last season. Whoever green-lit his signing should be fined 3 months pay.

Without Fortounis, or at least someone of his caliber, I don't think this team can win the title. Olympiacos is built around his talents. Marinakis has to spend some money and find someone who can fill his boots until his return, otherwise they'll have trouble finishing in the top two.
I'd have said Ninis, but he's PAO through and through.
