Scored a wonder goal but he was offside at the start of the play unfortunately.

He was on fire and really got fired up after his amazing goal was disallowed but silly team mates kept losing the ball or only got it to him a few times, when he got it he was doing anything he wanted and then to my amazement he was subbed off towards the end when he was the only Aris player doing anything right.

He's fun to watch. He almost had a great assist with an improvised flick, but the Swede couldn't beat the keeper. And that disallowed goal was amazing. If only his teammate took a second touch before laying off the pass... so unlucky. And later when he beats those two defenders in the box with nowhere to go. Houdini! Beautiful move. He need to get his shot higher for a classic center forward finish. Everything else he did was perfect and it was good to see him get selfish like that. He has to work on his finishing a bit more, but he's showing good progress and he has the right instincts.

Him in the Greek NT is like a Ferrari engine in a Skoda chassis. The Greek NT needs to support a player like this and flow the game through him imo.

Right now Pavlidis, Fortounis, Limnios and Mantalos seem likeliest to start up front for Greece. Fetfatzidis has to work his way into the team and he's likely competing with Fortounis or Limnios for a spot. He has a lot of work to do still. Fortounis is an excellent set-piece taker, Fetfatzidis isn't nearly as talented. Greece needs someone from set-pieces and Fortounis is the best we've had since Tsartas. Limnios is younger and works better off the ball. He has brighter prospects. Fetfatzidis is a little behind the eight ball now, but he has the natural talent to surpass both if he works at it and gets better.

Another assist today and blew Limnios and Pelkas out the water with his skill and ability, they were invisible.

Also scored a beautifully taken goal but was marginally offside. I think that is his 6th assist of the season.

I saw the assist on the fourth goal only. Smart run, made the right decision, and he played a perfectly weighted pass. Not sensational by any stretch, but good stuff.

Saw the game as well, agreed with you Reap, Paok had the lion share of the possession, but didn't have any sort of quality in the final third, no sense of urgency when on the ball, compared with Aris and their breakneck counters, devastating stuff from them. Agreed with Don that Fetfa had an alright game, unlucky with the offside, his teammate was a second to late with the pass, but compared to his form the last month or so, an ok game by his standards. Just goes to show you when on his game, miles ahead of Limnios and Pelkas, where an ordinary Fetfa in today's game, is still more noticeable than the aforementioned Paok players

What has changed is that the German coach has showed faith in Fetfa. As a result fetfa seems to have found consistency. Every game either a goal, an assist or a great performance. He was MVP vs PAO. Today if that pass to him for his offside goal had been a second earlier he would have had a goal and an assist today and probably be MVP again.

Aris deserve a better stadium. Their fans were immense today. They have replaced PAO as the 4th best team in Greece imo.

                      • Watched bits of the Xanthi vs Aris cup game. Fetfa ran through the entire Xanthi team on at least 3 occasions. Turned players inside out all game. On one of these magical runs he laid it on a plate at the end for a Aris player who scored a super goal - only for the ref to give an offside. Replay showed it wasn't offside but Greeks don't bother using VAR for cup games apparently.

                            • I saw highlights of the game. He also played Larsson in, who got the assist for the only goal of the game. His vision and ability to run through defense is unmatched in Greece.

Where he can do better is his finishing. He had two shots at goal. He did well to get the volley down on the one chance, but couldn't beat the keeper near post. It needed something more special from him to score on that chance. Then later at the top of the box he tried to score one of those trademark Messi goals, but again he didn't do enough to beat the keeper. He just needs to show a little more quality here. If he keeps working at it, he will get better, no question about it.
