I'm not big on watching cable news, but something strange is going on with these sexual assault allegations against Fox News personalities. They really targeted Roger Ailes, making a number of movies and shows that really set things into motion. They went after better known personalities like Geraldo Rivera and Bill O'Reilly. They have gone after reporter Ed Henry. In the case of those men, the accusations were more credible.

That being said, accusers tried and failed to nab Hannity and Carlson, but now they have set their sights on Judge Andrew Napolitano. The accusations being made against him are the most ridiculous yet. Little is actually known or said about Napolitano's love life other than he's unmarried and now in his 70s. Trump had previously attacked Napolitano and insinuated he was gay tweeting that Napolitano was "a good 'pal' of low ratings Shep Smith."

There are two complaints against Napolitano, but the second one curiously doesn't claim rape had actually taken place. The plaintiff alleges that he was offered a drink in Napolitano's house that left him feeling "extremely woozy as if he had been drugged" and that he had "blurred memories" of being in threesome with Napolitano. That sounds as if Napolitano had drugged and raped the man, but the complaint doesn't actually rise to the level of outright accusing Napolitano of rape, rather the complaint insinuates it. He later alleges he met Napolitano at a farm and that Napolitano attempted to rape him. Again, that doesn't constitute the same thing as rape itself. It's curious the complaint falls short of making an outright accusation of rape. There's a simple explanation: accusing someone of rape under false pretenses is a serious crime punishable with years in prison.

In other words, these are lies meant to disparage Napolitano. The real goal is extort money from a man who they think is a closeted homosexual, who they think would be willing to settle out of court rather than have the courts examine his private sex life. That's what this is, pure and simple extortion. And I think it's worth stressing that initially Napolitano was thought of as a possible replacement for Scalia (Trump personally interviewed him for the job). Kavanaugh got that nomination instead and he faced a barrage of unsubstantiated sexual assault claims during his confirmation hearing. If Napolitano had gotten the nomination instead, there's no doubt these same accusers would have come forward to torpedo his confirmation and prevent Trump from getting his choice on the Supreme Court.

I think the real goal is deeper when it comes to some of the on air personalities at Fox. The aim of the left is to deplatform some of their higher ratest hosts like Laura Ingrham and especially Tucker Carlson by going after their shows advertisers and sponsors. They tried doing that the last couple of years, going after Laura for teasing that vulnerable kid David Hogg, who it turns out wasn't in the line of fire in the Florida school shooting, for simply teasing the kid on twitter for not making it into UCLA. The rest of the other media and Hogg himself made it out that Laura molested the kid and scarred him for life, literally disgusting. They tried doing that to Tucker as well, accusing him of misogynistic comments on a segment he had on his show, but again failed. I'm more worried now that you have the RHINO, Paul Ryan on Fox's board, that some of their on air hosts are on a shorter leash of what they might opine on air, that he might pull the plug on them for good.
And just a small clarification Don, I think it was Neil Gorsech that Trump nominated after Scalia's death. The left savaged Kavanaugh in his nomination process a year or so ago.

That's right, Kennedy retired and Kavanaugh took his seat.

The knives are out for popular Fox News conservatives. It makes you wonder what the news landscape will look like when these people are all gone. Will be left with one viewpoint, only Democrat approved talking points? Like this is where it feels like its going, a one party system with them deciding what gets fed to the public as news.

Fox News topped broadcast networks ABC, CBS and NBC in total viewers for the first time in the third quarter of 2020 and was the most-watched network on television, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Fox News is seeing a nearly 50% increase of viewership. They get more viewers than the networks!

The network averaged 3.51 million viewers in prime-time in July, August and September, an increase of 44 percent when compared to the same quarter in 2019.
      Double from CNN:

CNN finished third among the three major cable news networks with an average of about 1.53 million viewers, an increase of 56 percent when compared to the same quarter last year.

He's not one of those holier than thou Catholics and he embraced the Supreme Court's ruling on homosexual unions. He's not like other hypocrites on the Right. If he's a closeted homosexual, he'll get sympathy from a lot of people.

The first accuser is a career criminal. The second accuser, the waiter, could have had liaisons with him, but his accusations fall short of any serious sexual offence. These are clearly attempts at extortion, to blackmail a man of his alleged closeted homosexuality to settle for undisclosed fee out of court. Its yet another disgraceful attempt to target a Fox News personality by people the Left and their Democrat enablers.
