It is a massive blow for Prespes and Syriza. Kotzias was an alfa communist. This was the architect of the Prespes fiasco that effectively gave away 'Macedonian' nationhood to the citizens of Fyrom in return for nothing.Originally posted by Filikieteria1821 View PostApparently the resignation happened because Kotzias felt he did not have enough support vis-a-vi Kammenos.
I'm interested to see what this means for "fyrom" deal, and the government as a whole.
I'm hoping Kotzias leaving means the government will fall sooner rather than later.

My worry is the chief (Tsipras) is going to cozy up to Kammenos in any effort to make sure that if the deal does pass, that when the deal comes to Greek parliament, it is approved now that ANEL would be in favor.
Right now, our hopes need to be remain in the ultra-nationalist VMRO to avoid this disaster. They see this agreement as giving in, because they believe they are the only macedonia. Oddly enough, Greeks who still love their country and know what Tsipras and co. have done will need to rely on them to force the death of the prespa agreement.
Thereafter, Tsipras should either resign (doubt he will) or be forced out of office. His already unpopular attempt of greece should not be tolerated.

Interesting take and this is from a guy on twitter by the handle @greekanalyst
"Tsipras' decision not to back his (now former MFA) Kotzias over his spat with Kammenos, and back the latter (once again), even though Kammenos has consistently acted against his gov, leaves many in Athens wondering whether Kammenos actually "has got something" on Tsipras."
Things are going to get interesting
