Il Giornale reporter Luigi Guelpa believes Guardiola has been offered a four-year deal at the Old Lady.

Guelpa was the journalist who broke the news that Cristiano Ronaldo would leave Real Madrid for Juventus last year.

Speaking on Radio CRC, he said: "I've learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years.

"It's the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus."

Maybe not this summer, but Guardiola to Juventus (or elsewhere in Italy) remains a strong possibility in the near future. With City looking increasingly likely to be kicked out of the UCL next season, that means Guardiola will only have one more chance until his contract expires in order to win the one trophy missing in City's cabinet. Moreover, City will be facing a transfer ban after this summer. And with Barcelona and Real looking to bolster their ranks, it seems increasingly unlikely that any other teams will be contesting the UCL trophy for the following 2-3 seasons. Barcelona in particular are looking more and more invincible.

Other possible coaches for Juventus include Deschamps, Sarri, and Conte. For the time being, Conte looks Inter bound.

Allegri is officially out. Not surprised to see him gone. He's too conservative to succeed in Europe and that's the front Juventus desperately seek a trophy.

The signal is very clear to Guardiola to come. Pochettino has been rumored to takeover too. Mourinho has passed on a possible offer due to his special affiliation with Inter. Deschamps I think would be a coup. Sarri and Conte are likelier to take over at Roma and Inter.

Rumors now flying that Guardiola will sign on June 4th and will earn 24 million euros a season! Another name in the mix is Simeone Inzaghi currently at Lazio.

I believe Juventus really did offer Guardiola a contract of 24 million per season. By tomorrow we should know if he agreed or not, but the job appears to be as good as Sarri's now.

I think Sarri is at best a placeholder for either Guardiola or Deschamps. I can't see Sarri lasting long unless he wins the UCL. He showed with Chelsea that he's capable of winning in Europe. Also, I think the only team he couldn't beat with Chelsea was Liverpool. He even got the better of Guardiola. He is a good coach, but he didn't fit well in England. His familiarity with English football helps as the English teams will be the ones to beat if Juventus are to win the UCL.

As for Pep, I think it was all contingent with City losing out on the UCL. That might not happen until next season if City are able to drag the appeal on in the courts. We could see Guardiola leave after next season or at the end of his contract in two seasons from now.

His inclination is to go to Italy once his time in England is over, to either Juventus or possibly Roma. There are rumors that the current owners of PSG may sell and buy Roma, so it's plausible he may go to Roma instead. He also played for Roma. He could be waiting to see how that shakes out because the Qataris would have more money for him to burn. Otherwise only Juventus hold enough ambition to draw him in.

Nothing is certain yet. Chelsea want Juve to buyout Sarri's contract and Juve are holding out for now. There is still a lingering possibility Guardiola lands in Turin, but City are working overtime to get an injunction against a possible UEFA ban. They want to drag the issue in the courts and get a ruling pushed off until at least next season. They ought to get banned. That would see Arsenal take their place and probably see Guardiola head to Juventus.

More hopeful thinking on my part than anything that City would get banned from the UCL next season. That's too bad.

PSG look set to sell Neymar and Mbappe. If they do, Ronaldo is seen as their replacement. That or the PSG owners pack it up and setup shop in Rome instead. Juventus would be willing to sell Ronaldo at the end of next season in order to recoup capital and to reinvest in a side that, in the form of Ronaldo and Chiellini, is on the wrong side of 35. PSG is believed to be one club that may interest Ronaldo as it is another top league in which he has not won anything. The other team that intrigues him appears to be United due to the club's ambitions and level of play, but United look to be at a loss and aren't sure which direction they should go in their efforts to rebuild. There's a view at United to build more in the long term, much like Bayern's approach, as they seek to tamper the wild costs for big name players who may not necessarily be worth it.

Sarri is officially the new coach. He's a winner in Europe and he knows how to challenge City and Liverpool. He may have what it takes to win the UCL, but I think Madrid and Barcelona will be too dominant next season.
