  • Greece v Sweden - Qatar WC Qualifier

Unbelievable… JVS goes with a worse line up to what we had in Kosovo so pissed off. Bouchalakis and Bakasetas joined with Zeca, two strikers…

Players playing hard to save VS the same way they battled hard to save Skibbe.

0-0 Half time. We are lucky Vlachodimos has made some big saves whilst Pavlidis had our one big chance.

In a nutshell, we have had possession but can only rely on crosses for chances at goals, Androutsos’s crosses have been poor like they were in Kosovo… go figure!!
Our midfield combo lacks the ability to go through the middle.. go figure.

Sweden have had little issues running through us and have had couple of huge chances we are lucky Vlachodimos saved.

Mavropanos really lost in the headlights when it comes to reading a header in a crowd.

Unless another attacker comes on soon and we can change things up, I see a draw or loss

Androutsos in front of goal passes it backwards to no one

            2-1 win

Bakasetas and Pavlidis with the goals. Nervy ending but we made it.

Very lucky result. However, the team were clearly motivated to save VS which was sweet. Tried very hard second half and showed the passion the Greek media demand. Tzolis is a beast.

We snapped out of the norm in the second half and went onto win.

As we always see, the usual dud steps up and Bakasetas didn’t disappoint, a very well taken goal to open the scoring and then Tzolis shows his worth.

How we didn’t make it 3-1 through Vrousai… seriously.

We march on BUT we need to show this football every game and for 90 mins

Tzolis is a gun. Douvikas is on a good path as well. Major weaknesses are as always the midfield and RB.

Vlachodimos is a great player and almost world class but seems to make some bad errors for the Ethniki from time to time.

this era is one of the poorest NT's we have ever fielded

i see so many bad touches
no critical thinking in the decision making process
huge mistakes when under a very small amount of pressure

                    surprised they pulled it off

time to bring back the real CB's

Very true Tantra, there is better players out there and especially in your u21’s, a matter of time before they are utilized.

Great win. Why couldn’t we do this against Kosovo and Georgia? Anyways we have to win our remaining matches to even have a chance to be 2nd. Hopefully we continue this way.

We looked good yesterday, deserved the win. Can't remember the last time I saw opposing players constantly foul our guys to stop them from going to go on a break, it happened repeatedly to Tsimikas and Douvikas.

I agree with this article. Douvikas, Tzolis and Pavlidis had a great showing. I wish Pavlidis scored that goal when he took on and beat Lindelof. Douvikas can be our number 9 for years to come and Tzolis is by far our best attacker and he’s only 19… Don’t forget we also have Giakoumakis…

Now for a better midfield to feed these guys and we should be attacking and beating teams easily.
