Group 1 : AO Kavala are 2nd (26 points), Panserraikos are 4th (18 points)
Group 4 : Niki Volos are 1st (29 points), Olympiakos Volos are 2nd on goal diff (29 points), Karditsa are last (14th place - 0 points)
Group 5 : Ethnikos are 2nd (23 points), Ionikos are 8th (13 points), Proodeftiki are 11th (10 points)
Group 7 : Aigaleo are 1st (25 points), Kallithea are 11th (9 points)
Group 8 : Kalamata are 1st (33 points)

This is at Matchday 11 - so just under halfway through

To add, Veroia is 2nd place in group 2. They also rebranded a bit at the beginning of the season and it looks slick IMO. There are likely a few teams in Gamma Ethniki that would be better for Greek soccer if they were promoted to B or even A Ethniki. I'm looking at Kavala, Oly Volou and Kalamata in particular.

BTW, Wikipedia states that 12 (!!!) teams from Gamma Ethniki will be promoted this year while only four are dropping from Beta Ethiniki. Add to that the four teams that will drop from Alpha Ethniki given the league is going to shrink from 16 to 14. This doesn't make sense to me.

What is even more bizarre is that the bottom 4 from B ethniki will drop to D division...the next 4 from the bottom will drop to Gamma ethniki..

Update on some of the gamma ethniki groups:

Group 1: AO Kavala in 2nd place (4 pts behind the lead)
Group 2: Veroia in 2nd place (2 pts behind the lead with a game in hand)
Group 4: Niki Volos in 1st (47 pts), Oly Volos in 2nd (44 pts)
Group 5: Ethnikos Pireaus in 1st (2 pts ahead of 2nd place with a game in hand)
Group 7: Egaleio in 1st (8 points ahead of 2nd place)
Group 8: Kalamata in 1st (4 points ahead of 2nd place)

Most teams have played anywhere from 15-17 games so far.

Some highlights from today's Oly Volou-Niki Volou derby. Oly Volou won 2-0 and the two teams are now tied for first place in their group. I bet this game had more fans in attendance than half the games in the Super League lol.

Unsure when playoffs start but the teams are just drawn against each other in 1 or 2 leg tie. The 4 playoff winners gain promotion.
