I’m sick of seeing this 2 DM each game. For fucks sake take a risk and let one get further forward. This is where Symanski is big for us, he gets forward and covers well. We don’t have that so much with Krsticic or Shakov.

As for the defence, when Carrera first came our defence was so solid, this season it’s gone to shit. As Amo said we have to be the worst team in history when it comes to corners attacking and most of all defending them.

This loss was a big kick in the guts for us as we were only 3 behind Oly now we are 6, lose to them midweek next week and goodbye of any hope we may have.

This is where I’ll give credit to Oly and even PAOK, no matter how tricky things may get for them during games they always find a way to win games, we always find the way to losing them.

Agree Original. Something just isn't right. Consistency is key, the way we played v Tripoli was amazing.

I actually thought Krsticic was one of our better players on the weekend. A lot were well below their best

100% how we go from that performance against Tripoli to this vs PAO is just crazy.

I know we all crack at Carrera myself included but fact of the matter is whatever line up he goes with good or bad in our eyes, these are pro footballers they should be able to get a simple
job like marking someone done. Carrera isn’t on the pitch to do that, it’s the player responsibility. So as much as we give it to Carrera the players need to take responsibility also.

All this talk of firing Carrera is a ridiculous tbh. Every year we do the dame when the going gets tough, such a Greek thing to do and worse yet a small club mentality.

Just once I would like to give a coach time to build his squad for 2 years or so and then judge him. I'm not saying the last few performances/results have been acceptable but every team has a bad spell. Klopp for example was pretty poor the first 2 seasons he was in charge of Liverpool but they gave him time and look at them now. Im in no way comparing us as clubs/managers but its an example of what can happen if you give your manager a chance and show faith in him rather than crying wolf as soon as we have some bad games.

He is definitely is a good manager, You dont win the Russian Premier league by fluke. We also seen when he first arrived how good he is and can win games. Lets give the guy a break and not let the players off the hook as if they played no part in the mess...which I guess you could say they didnt play any part, in a bad way.

Well said guys, look, Carrera needs to work on his substitutions, at times they are bad but fmd, Bakakis and Hnid especially have been poor, Bakakis has been horrible since his injury and Hnid can’t mark for shit, at this level that’s unacceptable. Svarnas is and always has been an ordinary defender. Insua up and down, Tsitontas, ok but making some mistakes in big games.

We need to invest in our defence come January, I would take Vranjes over these guys but we need another very good CB. Also need to look at RB, Bakakis is a liability atm.

Sacking him is a little far fetched and a Greek mentality, as said by Dikefale you don’t win the Russian league with Spartak of all teams. I think tactically he’s fantastic, he reads the game well but needs to take more risks in my opinion. Guess that’s an Italian thing. He just needs to have his full squad available as I don’t thing he’s had that ever this season.

Word on the street is Ivic is in search of a new RB in January. We currently have 3 that would barely make the Kalithea squad.

We have definitely buffed out attack. Just need the defence to complement it. A 35 year old should not be our best CB.

I still think back to Galo and how/why we let him go. He was great for us and is better than all the ones we have currently. Guy always played with his heart on his sleeve and gave everything for the jersey. Sure age was getting the better of him but he had at least 2-3 seasons in him when we let him go.

As for CB this is where we’ve lacked for a few seasons quality wise. Nede seems ok from our new signings. Surely Ivic can find some young Balkan to do a job for us.

100% agree, the Galo decision was ridiculous. We axe a great player and servant to the club for Paulinho...
