Not much else to be excited about considering what’s been going on lately. Hopefully the players can go out there give it their all and do us proud and give us something to smile about.
A pretty nothing half, no major chance fir either side. Ajax with more of the ball. We are holding up well but once again out problem at this high level is our passing. It could be nerves but we are on occasions failing to complete the simplest of passes...
Ponce really runs his socks off, could have given us the lead just before the half had his touch been a little better but dont think he was expecting the ball to come to him.
Alef and Mantalos non existant or not as prominent as they should be, especially the latter. Looks like the bad press has got to him recently and he is nervous. Alef just needs to get more involved, is a ghost out there at times, should not be the case for a CM.
Oikonomou mad a silly foul that he got booked on which could have cost us just outside the box.
I believe the only way for us to score is with a set piece.
Meaninglessly and purposefully blocked a shot with his elbow by the looks of it.
I seriously hope AEK sues the police. All fans around the world would riot if they had they greek police just their watching and not able to arrest anyone.
Not just that - the police/security allowed a guy to enter with a cocktail molotov?
It is almost as if the Greek authorities want violence to happen.
Livaja is still a child. Attitude reminds me a lot of Arnautovic who was always talented but for some reason, just couldn't figure things out on the park, thus use to lash out on everyone. If i had to guess i would say arrogance. It wasn't until a few years ago where he mellowed down and simultaneously found his niche. He now knows how to use his talent and is knocking on the door of a big transfer though he is approaching 30. For livaja though, it's concerning that this is his 8th club.
Regarding the violence, repercussions are more likely being this involves aek. I know savvas has his son working at uefa which can help put together a case(s) to get oly a pass on similar matters. As for the police, they are not going to risk their health and well being, not to mention the effort and paper work involved...
