I think El Arabi is actually fairly good. We just lack a good second striker.

The problem today was Martin's CL squad. We needed Ba instead of Meriah and Soudani instead of Benzia.

I think the rain damaged our game a little too.

Man we made hard for ourselves tonight. Happy we are in the Europa league. Proud of the fans, they are the heart of the team. Tsimikas for me man of the match. As time goes on he is becoming more brave and his crosses were brilliant. Very reliable defensively aswell.

Guilherme is fantastic. In my opinion the best midfielder in the league. Imagine if he was in our Greece midfield. Greece would look way more dangerous and way more effective. If we can somehow or someway produce a midfielder like him we will go far. He’s got technique, great pass, good shot, reads the game, strong, smart thinker and full of energy and pace. The most reliable player in the team in my opinion.

Bouchalakis is what he is and can deliver a great pass from time to time. He is a decent player but Guilherme levels above. Camara is like Zeca with a bit more technique.

Masouras needs to find his confidence again. The guy looks like he’s burnt out or something. Still he can be effective with his nice flick passes and determination. He needs to go on the training pitch and practice shooting non stop until he masters it. If he can do that then he will be unstoppable. He does everything else right.

Meriah should be sacked. Semedo needs a player like Cisse or sign Mavropanos on loan for 6 months.

We need a striker. El Arabi and Guerrero are not effective enough. Apparently we are looking to sign Pavlidis. I’d rather he stay in Holland unless he is guaranteed to start most games.

@ Amorgos - Meriah is one of the worst CBs in the Greek league - seriously.

That game - put me through it. I am quite emotional. Did not want winter without Olympiacos in the EC in the new year.

I don't know what Bakasetas is supposed to be. Some sort of slow 10 who can't score and can barely assist?

Masouras for me has a future. He is always a goal away from from a prolonged bit a form. Bakasetas.. he just keeps getting starts in the hope of something. His 1 assist in 25 games should however make a him a starter for the foreseeable future knowing Greek NT logic.

I think they're both players who still have much to prove. They're also very similar players. Both came through at Panionios and play in similar roles. I don't see a world's difference between the two. Bakasetas, however, as of late has been playing regularly and his club are top of the table in Turkey despite the odds.

Mate you really overate Masouras as a CAM, he is a very unpolished player, much running and energy which is great but you also need good control and finish. For all the bads put on Bakasetas he has been more effective of late and has helped the Ethniki play a nice flowing game.

We keep saying how motivated one guys is from another - we dont know this!!! We are going of pictures from the TV. I am sure all the guys are very motivated and doing what's best.

I cant see Masouras as a CAM, he doesn't have great control and Baka is better than him there and has offered more to the ethniki in the last period, this more chances his way and he's taken then with both feet.

Masouras and Bakasetas have problems with finishing, both have missed opportunities right in front of goal. Thats where they are similar and that’s where everyone is similar for Greece. They need to work on their composure and not be too overwhelmed in those situations. Saying who’s better is pointless because they both on average have had 3 goals and 3 assists per season in the GSL. Don is right as its pointless debating who’s better because both, statistically have had mediocre careers.

Fetfatzidis is better than both but another player with finishing problems. Out of all our CAMs and wingers Fortounis is showing to have a more successful career for Greece and club. It’s personal preference at the end of the day as there’s not much separating most of our players but if I had to choose, I’d choose players with speed, energy and skill and Masouras has more of it than Bakasetas.

That's what will hold back guys like Masouras from becoming a mainstay in the Big leagues. This generation of (and previous) greek footballers overall have lacked a clinical/ruthless finish. We seem to perennially produce the "xazogolis" gene in the majority of our quality attacking players.
