Who knows what is up....maybe the government is not willing to fund on a new stadium project, and he has had enough. At this point you might see all of PAO departments head for the rocks in the near future. This could be a bluff, however if his words are true that is not a good sign for Greek sports. I personally see his vision, however I can't see Greece fitted for such a big project. What I see is there's no interest from everyone involved to invest and raise the level on the playing field in all Greek sports. The truth is everyone looks out for themselves and he's guilty of that also in basketball. Until there's unity from all ownership across the league to raise the level, Greece will continue to become more distant from other leagues around Europe. I can see basketball starting to slide in the near future as well....the league is still considered a top league in Europe, however we can see the cracks starting to form....if he leaves we might see the basketball league hit the rocks like in Greek soccer.

From what I'm reading, 25 million will be hard to find a buyer....goes to show one of the biggest clubs in European basketball, has difficulty making money in Greece. Nothing different here when compared to soccer....owners dumping money into a bottomless pit with little return to none and most times for a loss, with the exception of Olympiakos in Football, which found ways to run a profitable organization champions league money and selling players at the right time.

Looking into this more deeply I believe this is a bluff from Dimitri. What I believe is happening nobody is willing to fund the Votanikos project. He probably tried to persuade Alafouzo to drop millions and he declined. Another factor could be that the banks are not funding unless the government secures their loans. Anyway this probably spells the end for PAOs new stadium....and who knows maybe Dimitri has had enough.

As you might remember me saying to Reaper....Alafouzo will win over Dimitri in the end. What looks likely to happen is an announcement for a new football stadium at Votanikos without the basketball....thats why Dimitri is leaving or bluffing.

Going back in time and remembering the offensive launched by Dimitri on Alafouzo....Dimitri ultimatum to Alafouzo was for Alafouzo to drop 25 million and leave. Who does that?

Alafouzo agrees with the Mayor of Athens for Votanikos....this only includes the football stadium and shopping mall. Now we know why Dimitri is all in uproar over. If this gets finalized, Alafouzo wins the battle started by Dimitri 3 years ago.

I was reading that the football stadium needs to stay within 28k to 33k....in order to avoid legal obstacles that can arise if capacity is over that range. The leftist will be licking their chops to cause problems.
