Fabinho BTW reads the game so well. There was one stretch of play where every time Chelsea won the ball back, he would pop up and steal the ball back again. And the goal Arnold scored from the free-kick, how many right-backs can do that? The two best wing-backs in the game have to be him and the Scotsman on the other flank.

United were no match for Liverpool. Van Dijk made the difference with his headed goal, but Liverpool should have put away more of their chances before killed the game at the death. United stayed it in, although early in the second half they were barely hanging in there. For the last five minutes United gave Liverpool something to think about it, but Virgil was thoroughly in command and unbeatable in the air. Allison and Salah did the rest. United really only had one chance all game: Martial made a great move on a 1-2 to get past Gomez and drill home an equalizer, but he couldn't keep the shot down.

This Liverpool team is resembles the kind of team they had in the 80s. It's same sort of high energy, direct football they played then: a lot of men getting forward at pace, looking to overpower the opposition. And at this rate, they may well win the EPL before April and potentially unbeaten in the EPL. They have to play at the Etihad and Emirates, probably their toughest matches still to play though.

Who knew Liverpool would lose to Watford! Sarr and Deeney did them in. Then Chelsea knocked them out of the FA Cup. They may even be heading out of the UCL if they fail to win by at least two goals over Atletico. Suddenly an exceptional season is coming apart at the seems. They're playing too much football these days.

United scored an impressive win over their city rivals today. It's clear United worked on the training ground for Martial's goal. McTominay's was testament to his style of play. Two-nil victors and deservingly so. The team still lacks a certain amount of charisma, but they are tough to play against at least and make their opponents work for results.

Arsenal are finding some rhythm again. Ozil is enjoying his football. But the real star of the team is Leno. For all the talk about Aubayemang keeping Arsenal out of the relegation zone, it's really Leno. Saka and Martinelli look like potential stars in the making, but beyond that there isn't much else to be excited about at Arsenal.

The EPL is beginning to look like the Series A did the 80s and 90s. There are 7-8 teams in the league that are really dominant and can compete for the title, although Manchester City and Liverpool remain well ahead of the pack in terms of depth in quality. The only reason City aren't neck-and-neck with Liverpool is their failure to adequately replace Kompany. And their ban in Europe, which was always coming, has really meant their focus this season was always going to be Europe, the one trophy that continues to elude them.

PL games played in China? The FA is desperate to finish the league, as not finishing it will cost them a huge revenue. China, the only spot in the world where the virus is declining, could be the place where Liverpool win their first Premier League title!

It reminds me of the time in summer 2018, La Liga thought of playing a few games in the USA, but thankfully this was rejected.

Leeds are level with City. For a long spell now Leeds have been outplaying City. Bielsa is some manager!
