Seems like he is the cheaper option.

Very underwhelming pick. I was quite hoping epo would've poached Georgia's coach Willy Sagnol for the position. Really liked how Georgia played in the qualifiers. Hope I'm wrong for the sake of the ethniki.

What I found interesting is all the calls in Greece for a manager not attached to the big 4 teams.. just to end up with a manager who coached AEK and called Tiger “his president” last week..

        Good call on Sagnol BTW.

Lol V, only in Greece is where these deals happen, that only benefit the powers to be,epo execs, certain agents, etc, and probably sets our nt back for another decade. I guess having an alumni come in means that Mantalos, Bakasetas, etc are going to be automatic selection and starters ??

Now that you guys are saying this I’m feeling like Poyet is going to be a Skibbe/JVS 2.0. I hope I’m wrong and I hope Poyet is not in it just for the money.

If that’s the case then we should’ve gone with Donis who seems like he genuinely cares about the good of the team.

I remember seeing a video of Poyet last week saying that he wants teams to come to Greece and feel like they are in for a difficult night. Don’t know how that’s going to happen since we only get 1000 fans if that in a 70k capacity stadium.

            Here’s the video

I said it many times before, Greeks can be naive and rude, but they are not naturally stupid. To pay money to watch players like Tzavellas, Bakasetas, Bakakis, Zeca, Kourbelis is a push. Before them.. Tziolis, Stafylidis, Katsouranis etc.. People have limits. Poyet wants the fans back, pick the right team.

I agree he has to pick the right team. He has to figure out who belongs in the team and who doesn’t and he has to find it out quick. We got nations league coming up and a couple friendlies next month.
