In the first half of the season, we attacked sides well along the flanks. We were quicker with our ball movement and a lot more precise, not to mention macheda was scoring. This comes as no surprise though since the players were fresh and excited for the challenge. Some of our guys hit form and this gave them confidence.
Now we have:
- Physical fatigue which leads to mental fatigue, which leads to poor decision making
- Players out form affecting their confidence
- Excitement levels having diminished.
Lack of depth is hurting us but on the last point, some of our guys are not taking to the pitch the same way they did at the start. It almost feels like a job now for some and they are merely going through the motions or doing the bare minimum. Throw in a couple of old faces from last season, that shouldn't be there and the team starts looking like the side that finished 11th or whatever. All of a sudden, fan numbers decrease....
0-0 FT levadiakos we had a post with Kourbelis header 1-2 other chances but not much more seems we are slowing down dropping points. Aris has now over taken us for 5th.
Has Bouzoukis and Chatzigiovannis been influential in 2019? They seem a bit quite, are they still performing well?
The team has no depth....when your RB and LB are injured, and a few other injuries on top, how can you overcome that with a 3 million dollar budget? The team is still overachieving IMO. I'm predicting a 6 and 2 finish to end the season....will still get the 5 seed.
